Terriers launch new supporters club

Bedlington terriers are delighted to announce the formation of a new supporters club. The new club will by led by Terry Brown, a local resident and long time supporter of the club who is looking to get the supporters more active in working in partnership with the club to raise the profile of the football club and improve relations between the supporters and committee.

Terry is seeking volunteers to help assist him in the running of the supporters club and will be arranging initial forums to allow supporters to put their views to the club.

The first meeting of the supporters club will take place on Tuesday 3rd August at 8pm in the clubhouse.

Terriers Seek Help - CANCELLED

***** Please note that as tonights Morpeth fixture has been postponed, the additional work on the pitch is no longer required *****

Club officials are requesting volunteers to come help make the pitch playable for saturday. At least a dozen people are needed to help put the divots back in. Failure do have this done will put saturdays match at risk.

Any willing volunteers should come along at 7:30. Its estimated the work will take around an hour and a half

Bedlington Terriers game on Saturday saw the first penalty shoot out for the Friends of Gallagher Park trophy. The competition was organised by Northumbria Police as part of the ‘Not in My Neighbourhood’ campaign and was hailed a huge success in its inaugural year.

Tickets are now on sale for the Bedlington Terriers 2008 Sportsmans Dinner on Friday 10th October.

ASHINGTON missed the opportunity to become the early pacesetters in the Northern League Division One when they finished well beaten in yesterday’s local derby at Bedlington Terriers, who claimed their first points to move off the bottom.

Terriers hopes are bolstered by new recruits

JOINT managers Tony Lowery and Keith Perry are confident a frenetic close season of transfer activity will lead to a big improvement in Bedlington Terriers’ fortunes.

The pair worked wonders last season when they returned to the club at Christmas with relegation from the Northern League First Division staring the Terriers in the face.

Club Sponsor Needed

Bedlington Terriers Football Club are on the lookout for a club sponsor. This will include having the company name on the front of the team shirts and on all official stationery.

AGM brief

Bedlington Terriers Football Club held their AGM at the clubhouse last Thursday and it was an encouraging turnout from supporters and local residents, which chairman David Holmes went on record to thank so many for people giving their time. A number of topics were discussed including the progress made in the two years since David Holmes took over the club as chairman and as a result of his hard work and commitment, he was unanimously voted to remain as chairman. It was confirmed that Graeme Redpath had resigned from the club and subsequently, the position of club president was now vacant.......

Terriers appeal to local businesses for support

Bedlington Terriers Football Club have appealed to the local community for sponsors for the coming season. Having firmly put their troubles of recent seasons behind them, the club are looking to reaching the heady heights of the late nineties and early noughties once more. With chairman David Holmes at the helm he has done an excellent job in improving the image of the club in the local community but now needs local businsses in particular to sponsor the club to ensure success both on and off the field.
